Aardwolf Anyone?

I finally got my Aardwolf picture. While biking i flushed this guy from this hole as he was leaving at dusk to forage for termites and other insect tidbits. I returned with the camera trap and after three days/nights he made this one and only showing. I assume by his tracks that he has been coming and going on the other nights but enters and exits his hole at a high velocity, faster than the camera’s silly delay that is. Wim are you seeing this?

Who’d have thought he’d look that charmingly demented, maginificent as he is in his wholly feral integrity and not that we’d dream of doing anything as undignified and unscientific as anthropomorphising him (do you think he talks like Yoda or the donkey in Shrek?)

I began college as an Environmental Studies major where, on arrival i promptly learned that anthropomorphizing animals was not ok. Then during our first environmental ethics class we began discussing if the broccoli could feel it when we eat it. I promptly transfered to Wildlife Biology where i could safely return to anthropomorphic generalizations - despite the name, I think he likely sounds more like piglet.

Ah yes, the silent scream of the broccoli… Piglet works though I was leaning toward Jimmy Durante… Either way, he’s a stunner.
