A D’arnaud’s barbet has become our new best friend as he has taken to stealing tomatoes from our stores near our office. he has no fear and runs between the legs of our seats as we eat lunch (often times tomato free).

What could be nicer than that? What a complete and utter stunner! A Liberace of the bird world. Tomatoes today, wallets tomorrow…

Now that’s a fancy bird! I’d give him all the tomatoes he wants just for showing up every day!

What a beautiful bird…

Hello there James! what a beautiful friend you have!
James, on 17 Jan 2008
He lives in a hole in the ground that descends straight down to a chamber where he and his wife leave their chirping chicks. how they protect themselves from snakes is a big unknown around here.
Monsieur d’arnaud is thankful for the compliments though, despite the comparison to liberace.

…maybe snakes hate showtunes?
