The name of this camp is Fig Tree camp. It is named for the huge Sycamore Fig we camp beneath. A trivial fact: The Sycamore Fig is the Sycamore mentioned in the bible. It is native to AFrica and was cultivated and brought to the middle east. How they utilized the tree , I do not know.

I remember Fig tree camp well. It was a spectacular camp setting after our mornings trek meandering along the Ewaso Nyiro River. I also remember loosing count of the amt of different birds we had seen on that morning alone!
